My name is Jonathan Jennings and I am a junior game developer from the beautiful state of california, I have aspiredto be a game developer since i was 11 years old and in october 2011 I took the first step towards solidifying that desire by graduating from devry University with a bachelors of science degree in Game & Simulation programming.

Currently I am seeking an entry level position as an intern or  Jr. programmer in a developement studio. during the course of my curriculum I learned to use several game developement technologies including the Unreal Developement Kit, 3ds max, adobe flash among many others.

I enjoy both the areas of Game Design and Programming , Personally I think Game design is a field anyone could have a shot in . it's essentially about finding that sweet spot of fun whether that be digging for hours to make a cave hideout or smashing a house on top of pigs fun has several forms. however programming is a compliment to game design because not only can you conceptualize  a game, you have the tool set to actually complete a project as well.  maybe not very pretty if you lack artist but you do have the ability to create the basic functionality of a title .

The main reaoson I joined Gamasutra was to hopefully begin networking and establlishing some kind of connection to other members of the industry as well as to kepe up to date with the latest game developement information thst gaming magazines don't get into and most gamers wouldn't care to know.

I am excited ,  now that I have completed my education I feel adequately equipped to begin learning how to be a REAL developer, contribute to a team and hopefully walk into a gamestop one day and see a title i participated in the developement of  sitting on a shelf.  Feel free to send me an e-mail @ jjennings3@my.devry.edu if you  have any  questions both as a fellow gamer and as a professional developer. i love Gaming and thank you to anyone who actually read through this entire blurb about myself haha.
