I 'm irritated by this sort of thing almost as much as when the ads in free apps try to look like missed call notifications, Facebook messages, etc. - that shit is just downright crooked.
You guys are missing the point -- minors are not supposed to be able to purchase them, PERIOD. Whether or not they have their parents ' permission or even if they use their own debit card has nothing to do with it.
I loved the previous KotOR games, and I think you 're right this game would have been better off as a single-player or even multi-player, but not MMO game. It sort of goes along with an article posted here recently about how most modern MMOs are on rollercoaster tracks.
Also, I 'm not saying independent developers get an automatic pass -- just that they are far less likely than agenda-driven corporations to be practicing this sort of deplorable behavior.
