Nintendo 3DS Hasn't Left Top Of Japanese Charts Since Price Cut

The Nintendo 3DS once again topped the Japanese hardware sales charts last week, as it has every week since the price drop back in August.

For the week ended November 20, data from tracking firm Media Create, and as reported by NeoGAF, shows that the 3DS continued to dominate the charts, despite a drop in sales of around 7,000 units.

In comparison, both the PSP and the PS3 saw large sales increases, with each console seeing an increase of around 18,000 units week-over-week to 41,069 units and 40,085 units respectively.

The Nintendo Wii also saw an increase in sales, up 2,000 units to 13,613 in total, as did the Xbox 360, which saw sales increase by around 2,000 units.

Both the Nintendo DS and the PlayStation 2 saw approximately the same number of sales as the previous week.

Below are the full sales rankings from Media Create for the week ended November 20, 2011. (The second chart lumps together sales of all models in a given line of hardware.)
