Newsbrief: Frictional Games has begun work on a sequel to its hit indie horror game Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and has enlisted the help of thechineseroom, the independent team behind the atmospheric IGF finalistDear Esther.
The new game, titled Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, will be developed by thechineseroom and produced by Frictional Games, and is scheduled to debut for PC later this year, reports Joystiq.
The original Amnesia: The Dark Descent launched September 2010, and sold 200,000 copies as of January 2011, more than doubling Frictional Games' initial estimates.
Didn't play Dark Descent much yet (too scared, maybe?) but I am really looking forward to this sequel.
