BOSTON – February 22, 2012 – Today MocoSpace, the largest HTML5 mobile gaming community in North America, is unveiling five new HTML5 mobile social game titles. From puzzles and pets, to amusement parks and friends, the new games appeal to a wide range of gamers.

With the launch of these new titles, the total number of HTML5 games on the MocoSpace platform is now thirty. More than one million games are played daily on the platform, demonstrating further adoption of browser-based games among MocoSpace’s 25 million users. All of the new games are HTML5-based and can be played on any Web-enabled mobile device – no app required.

These five games were created by third-party developers, all of whom received a portion of MocoSpace’s $2 million HTML5 Game Developer Fund.

The new HTML5 mobile games are:

· FunPark Friends   from TagGames

Gamers can build their own theme park complete with rollercoasters, river rapids, and Ferris wheels.

· Pet Hotel   from Alley Labs

Gamers establish and expand their pet hotel from a one-star habitat to a world-class tower.

· Dream Vacation   from Kooky Panda

Gamers become globetrotters and travel to exotic places, play fun mini-games, invite friends along, and receive gifts and badges.

· Crazy Gems   from Bushido IT

With many colorful levels, gamers play timed puzzle games filled with special items to get to the next level.

· Private Joe: Urban Warfare   from hotBazooka Studios

Gamers can use a variety of weapons to battle enemies in this fast-paced game.

“We’re excited to be cultivating relationships with developers from all over the world,” said Justin Siegel, CEO of MocoSpace. “We plan to release a flood of HTML5 titles in the coming months, as our audience is incredibly eager to play new games.”

The new games launching on MocoSpace are testament to the rising popularity of mobile gaming. According to Pyramid Research, the global mobile gaming market is set to reach $18 billion by 2014. Much of this growth is due to virtual goods purchases in mobile games. On MocoSpace, gamers use virtual currency called Moco Gold to advance through levels more quickly, buy extra lives or weapons, or play ad-free.
